MindPowerAI™ ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered personalized tutoring platform designed for students in Grade 7 and above. We are committed to protecting the privacy and safety of all users, particularly minors.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Your chosen access code (used as your login — we recommend not using your real name)
• Your first name (optional, used to personalize greetings)
• Your grade level and subjects of interest
• Your answers to the 21-question MindPower Profile intake
• Questions you ask Mindi during tutoring sessions

Information collected automatically:

• Session activity (which features you use)
• Device type and browser (for compatibility purposes only)
• General usage patterns (to improve the platform)

What we do NOT collect:

• Your full legal name
• Your email address (unless you provide it for support)
• Your home address or phone number
• Payment information (MindPowerAI is currently free)
• Photos, videos, or audio recordings
• Location data

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect exclusively to:

• Build and maintain your personalized MindPower Profile
• Enable Mindi to teach you in the way that works best for your brain
• Improve our AI tutoring responses over time
• Ensure platform safety and prevent misuse

We never use your information for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any commercial purpose unrelated to your learning.

4. Students Under 18 (COPPA & PIPEDA)

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
• We do not require students to provide their real name, email, or any identifying information
• Parents or guardians may request to review, modify, or delete their child's data at any time by contacting us at privacy@mymindpower.ai
• We do not share student data with any third party without explicit parental consent
• If a student expresses distress or safety concerns, we encourage them to seek help from a trusted adult, teacher, or guardian

5. Data Storage & Security

• Your MindPower Profile is stored locally on your device (in your browser's localStorage) during the beta period
• Questions asked to Mindi are processed securely through our encrypted API
• We do not permanently store your questions or conversations on our servers during the beta period. Some data may be temporarily processed to generate responses but is not retained
• We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission
• Our AI provider (Anthropic) processes your questions to generate responses — their privacy policy applies to that processing
• While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., "most common learning styles among users") for research purposes — this data cannot identify any individual.

We use the following third-party services:
